Job Overview:
Join our team at Derry’s Ltd as a Furniture Maker and be part of a dynamic workshop environment where creativity and craftsmanship come together. We are seeking a skilled individual to both restore antiques/collectables and fabricate high-quality furniture pieces, chairs, tables and cabinets using a variety of tools and techniques. As a Furniture Maker, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that each piece meets our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate furniture using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques.
- Work with materials such as solid wood, MDF, marble and plywood to assemble furniture pieces.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to move materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
-Carpentry / Furniture Maker minimum 2 years with proven experience in furniture making or a related field.
- Proficiency in fabricating furniture and working with various materials.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, joinery techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of timber ,plywood sheets etc.
- Experience in finishing furniture pieces to a high standard.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating quality craftsmanship.
- Able to read tech drawings and floor plans.
