We are a well-established building company based in Northumberland, specialising in high-quality home extensions, loft conversions, full house renovations, and bespoke building projects. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and reliability, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced, skilled joiner.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a joiner on residential projects (extensions, lofts, renovations, etc.).
• Skilled in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential).
• Good understanding of health and safety on site.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Provide guidance/ supervision to junior staff if required.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering excellent workmanship.
• Own tools (preferred).
• Willing to occasionally assist with ad-hoc jobs that may arise on other aspects of the build.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a competent joiner with significant experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, who can work to a high standard on residential building projects. You’ll be joining a friendly, professional team and will work on varied projects across Northumberland and the surrounding areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out all aspects of 1st fix joinery: studwork, joists, roof structures, door frames, etc.
• Complete 2nd fix joinery: hanging doors, fitting skirting, architraves, staircases, kitchens, and bespoke finishes.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and plans.
• Collaborate effectively with site managers, tradespeople, and clients.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Work to deadlines while ensuring a high-quality finish.
