Description

We are seeking a skilled Joinery Estimator with strong experience in the UAE market to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out projects by analyzing project specifications, drawings, and client requirements. The role requires close coordination with the design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • 4–5 years of proven experience in joinery estimation within the UAE interior fit-out/joinery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and production processes.
  • Proficiency in estimation software, MS Office (Excel, Word), and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Responsibilities
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery and fit-out works.
  • Analyze material, labor, and subcontracting requirements and prepare cost breakdowns.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Prepare tender documents, technical and commercial submissions, and cost comparisons.
  • Work with the project and design teams to identify value engineering options and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track market rates for joinery materials, finishes, and labor to maintain updated costing databases.
  • Support management in tender negotiations and client presentations.
  • Ensure timely submission of bids and accurate handover of awarded projects to the operations team.
