Description
SAIC is seeking a Fully Remote Joint Operations Specialist to support the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Directorate of Training and Exercises (J7). This position will provide critical operational, training, automation, and administrative support to the Joint All-Domain Training Branch (J751), directly contributing to the success of joint exercises, operational readiness, and process modernization across the Command.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manage task tracking, calendar coordination, and internal branch operations for the J751 team.
  • Support contractor performance management, onboarding, and workload alignment.
  • Provide operational continuity during periods of government personnel turnover.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and documentation throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).
  • Facilitate joint training objective development, academic event preparation, and exercise assessment planning.
  • Coordinate with Joint Staff, Service Components, and subordinate units for exercise readiness.
  • Support live exercise execution as part of the Joint Assessment Team.
  • Implement data collection plans, conduct After-Action Reviews (AARs), and assist with post-exercise reporting.
  • Lead or assist in developing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SharePoint Online.
  • Support integration of AI/ML tools, including Maven Smart Systems and other emerging technologies.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training guides, and user support materials for new tools.
  • Capture directorate-wide automation requirements and recommend technology solutions that improve mission efficiency.
  • Assist with JTF certification processes, including milestone tracking, documentation management, and coordination with Joint Staff J7 and external headquarters.
  • Support the USINDOPACOM Issue Resolution Program, maintaining issue tracking systems and facilitating progress across Joint Directorates.
  • Assist with calendar management, deliverable tracking, and administrative coordination for Joint training assessment teams.
  • Maintain compliance with all classified handling requirements (SECNAV 5510.36A or equivalent), coordinating with on-site staff for classified task execution.
    Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and fifteen (15)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Must have experience in Joint military operations, training, exercises, or operational planning.
  • Strong familiarity with Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service Component operations.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint).
  • Must be able to travel to USINDOPACOM Headquarters and exercise sites as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
