TERM FULL-TIME (FUNDING BASED) POSITION IN NORTH VANCOUVER(Onsite) CLOSES:  Open Until Filled BE PART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL!  Join the Ayás Mén̓men Child and Family Services Department as a Jordan’s Principle Administrative Coordinator. This role plays a vital part in supporting the delivery of Jordan’s Principle services, ensuring Indigenous children and families have equitable access to the social, educational, and health supports they need. As the Administrative Coordinator, you will help manage program operations, coordinate payments and applications, and maintain accurate records and communications between families, service providers, and Indigenous Services Canada. Your organizational skills and compassion will directly contribute to strengthening families and ensuring children receive the care, respect, and opportunities they deserve. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Coordinate and provide administrative support for the Jordan’s Principle Program within Ayás Mén̓men, serving Squamish Nation members and Indigenous families within the service area. * Process applications, funding requests, and financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. * Coordinate payments to parents/guardians and service providers on behalf of the program in partnership with Indigenous Services Canada. * Support communication with applicants, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth service delivery. * Maintain and organize program documentation, including records, reports, and correspondence. * Assist with preparing and submitting funder and financial reports. * Collaborate with Indigenous Service Canada, the Jordan’s Principle Enhanced Service Coordination Hub, and community-based partners to promote and strengthen program access. * Support initiatives that reduce barriers to services for Indigenous children and families. * Maintain accurate databases of requests, approvals, and payments. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of program delivery by identifying challenges and opportunities for growth. * Participate in community-building and cultural initiatives as needed. * Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural integrity in all aspects of the role. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Certificate or diploma in Social Services, Health, Education, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution. * Directly related experience in administration, social work, or childcare program coordination. * Experience in case management and working with Indigenous families or communities. * Knowledge of social, economic, and political issues affecting First Nations communities. * Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and managing records and databases. * Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. * Professional, adaptable communication style and strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities with tact, discretion, and emotional intelligence. * Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination. * Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and strong connection to, the Squamish community.
