Job Details Job Location: GB GROUP LM - Livermore, CA 94551 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly Job Category: Construction JOB PURPOSE: Produce construction projects in accordance with instructions from supervisor. REPORTS TO: Foreman / Superintendent DUTIES: Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs, and maintains woodwork and other related structures. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Familiar with a variety of carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures within the carpentry field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiar with tools, materials and supplies required to complete tasks. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Requires standard communication skills (written / verbal / reading). Able to lift and hold / move 100 pounds. Must be able to solve advanced math principals to produce sufficient problem solving for carpentry. Able to traverse ladders (up and down including extension ladder), scaffolding and roofs. Must adhere to safety guidelines. May be responsible for all pricing and ordering of materials. Must be able to read plans and specs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS: Advanced working knowledge and experience with project plans, specifications, construction industry standards and building codes. Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
