EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently indentured into the instrumentation trade
  • If a Journeyman, a ticket must be supplied upon hire
  • Extensive experience in the construction, repair, and alteration of instrument tubing
  • Must have valid First Aid, H2S, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform
  • CSTS, PST and/or CSO
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership
  • Must have experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be reliable
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident requirement
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record
Responsibilities
  • Install, test and calibrate valves, switches and measurement devices.
  • Inspect and when needed repair vales, switches and measurement devices according to manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Install stainless steel tubing for chemical pump injection lines.
  • Develop an understanding of process in oilfield gas plants, oil batteries and wellsites.
  • Work with a variety of pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature level, composition
  • Test accuracy of flow meters, pressure gages, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments.
  • Read and interpret P&ID’s and Isometrics.
  • A demonstrated ability to work safe.
  • Journeyman Instrumentation Technicians are expected to guide and mentor apprentices
