JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER (RED SEAL PREFERRED) – COMMERCIAL RENOVATIONS/REFITS

Location: Red Deer, AB
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team in Red Deer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial renovations and retrofits, with the ability to lead large-scale projects and mentor apprentice carpenters. Red Seal certification is preferred but not mandatory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Journeyman Carpenter certification (Red Seal preferred)
• Proven ability to lead and mentor others
• Experience in large-scale commercial projects
• Ability to work efficiently in high-stress or secure environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Lead and perform high-quality commercial renovation and retrofit work
• Complete occasional residential carpentry projects as required
• Guide and support apprentice carpenters in their development
• Work effectively in sensitive and high-pressure environments (e.g., correctional facilities, group homes)
• Perform tasks including:
• Steel stud framing and conventional wood framing
• T-bar and ceiling grid installation
• Drywall finishing
• Custom framing
• Concrete forming and finishing
• Finish carpentry
• Interior and exterior door and hardware installation
