Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter to join our team in Calgary to help with our Exterior and Interior carpentry projects on new home construction, Warranty work and service work experience in single family homes would be an advantage, a vast knowledge in building envelope, decks, battens, framing, Hardie, Soffit and fascia, and installing siding materials is a must, must be experienced and able to work alone or with a crew to get the job done, Valid drivers license for more than 3 years, English, Job comes with a van, tools and a fuel card for the right person, 40 plus hours per week and ot, Group benefits also available
Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry tasks according to project specifications and blueprints
- Assemble and install structures and fixtures, battens and decks
- Install windows, doors, Building envelope, Flashings
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion within deadlines
- Warranty work on all exterior products
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience
- Proficient in carpentry techniques and tools, especially exterior siding products
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, new residential construction and exterior envelope
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, own transport and toolbelt
