JOB DESCRIPTION

Evolution Power Projects is looking for a full time Red Seal Journeyman to join our motivated team providing temporary power solutions in BC and Alberta.

Remote work often requires longer hours and time spent away from home. This is not a camp position; however, applicants should have Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and be willing to travel between Alberta and BC. Electricians have the ability to earn overtime including double time. Evolution Power recognizes that a healthy work life balance demands time off and Holidays to enjoy family and friends and we do our very best to accommodate with a flexible, rotating schedule.
10/4 shift home every night except 1-3 weeks of camp/hotel per year.

MANDATORY SKILLS

• Successfully pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Have a Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician card.
• Valid Class 5 Driver License with clean drivers abstract, upon request.
• Willing to travel.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in terrain that can be frozen, uneven, muddy, slippery, etc. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
• Have high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets, and employees.
• Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Drivers Credentials higher than Class 5 would be an asset. Ability to upgrade, or a Heavy Haul Endorsement would be of value and may offer a higher wage.
• H2S, First Aid, WHMIS.
• Successful applicants will have sincere interest in learning new practices and work well both as a team and independently. He/she will represent the company in a professional manner, adhere to and promote safe work practices and contribute excitement to his/her involvement in our rapidly growing line of work.

  Pay: $45.00-$48.00 per hour

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with appropriate codes (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code)
• Position, support, and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, lighting controls, setting up our temporary diesel and natural gas generators.
• Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment.
• Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
• Running temporary panels and cables on frac and water sites
  Compensation will be based on a combination of experience and education.
  Overtime Paid after 8 Hours/Day, Double Time after 12 Hours.
  Potential for bonus during busy periods, when financial metrics are met or exceeded.
  Monthly safety bonus for positive participation and enforcement of safety policy.
  Participation in Extended Health Benefits, past probationary period.
  2 Weeks Assured holidays, with increase for time of service.
  Evolution Power will pay for additional training and courses, where needed.
