Description The primary responsibilities of the Journeyman Electrician are to work directly with the Service Field Manager to coordinate electrical construction and service work orders and ensure the most efficient use of time and resources. These responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and controlling resources to maximize productivity and meet our end goal, which is meeting or beating the onsite requirements of our clients. Along with these responsibilities the Journeyman Electrician will assist on projects as the Electrical Lead, while helping to ensure quality and proper training of Crew Leaders and Helpers. Consistently demonstrates proficiency in all essential duties. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Attends and contributes to Service meetings upon request. Reports directly to area Service Manager. Attends on site projects and work orders needs directed by the Service Manager. Aid in the education and enforcement of company policy and procedures, including site safety concerns. Select materials based on work order information as indicated on written instruction, or as indicated by standard industry practices to complete the task at hand. Operate tools and equipment necessary to safely and efficiently complete assigned tasks. Work directly with other Team members and other crew leaders to ensure continuity of work in a situation where multiple disciplines are required. Safety Activities: Understands, complies, and enforces company safety policies. Understands, complies, and enforces OSHA safety requirements. Participates in safety programs provided by employer. Considers work to be performed to identify potential safety hazards and either eliminate the hazard or reports the problem to the Safety Manager for resolution prior to beginning work. Always ensures the use of proper safety equipment and by all employees. Reports accidents or injuries to management immediately. Aids in the investigation and documentation of job-related accidents. Develops and Utilizes JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for each work order. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Driver’s license (current, unrestricted, and free of moving violations) and a state Electrical Journeyman license.
