JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing renovations, and ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety standards as outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC).

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial environments is essential.
  • Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards is required.
  • Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of construction practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively is crucial for this role.
  • Previous experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting electrical systems is preferred.
  • A background in renovation projects will be considered an asset. Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of automated systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
  • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete projects accurately.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working with high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Perform renovation tasks as needed, including frame carpentry and maintenance person duties.
