JOB POSTING: JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role reports directly to the Electrical Manager. As the Journeyman Electrician, your role will focus on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within oilfield operations. You will ensure compliance with safety and electrical codes while delivering reliable, efficient service to our clients in the Weyburn area.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Journeyman Electrician certification (Red Seal).
  • Oilfield or industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of oilfield or industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment for oilfield operations.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Troubleshoot and install complex electrical systems.
  • Provide support in PLC programming and troubleshooting (asset).
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and be available to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
