REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed associate degree or vocational school, apprenticeship program or recognized electrical vocational training.
  • Proven work experience and a minimum of 4 years of professional history as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • Maintain a Journeyman license in states and locales where required, and all training requirements.
  • Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code and other safety standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, wiring schematics.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stop, crouch, crawl, squat, kneel, grasp, manipulate hand and power tools.
  • Clean and maintain job site areas, tools, and vehicles.
  • Maintain compliance with all OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities
  • Install electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems, such as faulty wiring malfunctioning equipment or damaged components.
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, and voltage.
  • Read, interpret, and execute project plans, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and change orders.
  • Lead, supervise, and train a crew of electricians and apprentices.
  • Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment for projects.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, engineers, and clients, ensuring smooth communication and addressing concerns.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and project updates to team members.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
