Construct and maintain high voltage distribution electrical system including substations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of high school diploma or GED and possess a minimum of a Class B Journeyman Lineman Card.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates heavy equipment which includes diggers, bore machine, trenchers, cats, hoes, bucket trucks, hydraulic lifts, fork lifts, snowmobiles, ATVs and other associated equipment.
Will be required to use hand tools including crimping tools both manual and hydraulic, shovels, tamps, sledge, frost bar, cant hook, hand lines, chain saws, air tools and others.
Climb poles and ladders.
Rubber gloving live conductors including use of hot line tools
Interprets construction work orders including staking sheets.
Interpret system maps.
Read, understand and follow safety manual.
Framing and setting poles, installing anchors, stringing and terminating, clipping in wire, handing transformers, reclosures, regulators, street light circuits, capacitors, underground installations and terminations.
Must possess basic knowledge and possess ability to operate OCRs, airbrakes, fuses and regulators.
Perform switching procedures.
May assist in training lower level apprentice lineman.
Cleans and lubricates equipment.
Other duties may be assigned by management
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise other personnel as determined by management or situation.
