JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented machinist to join our large-part manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in machining processes, setups, and tool selection, including both CNC and manual operation. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments is required. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various materials while meeting high production standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in manual machining
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining processes
  • Basic math skills for machining-related calculations

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC and manual lathes and mills to produce precision components to specification
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure part accuracy
  • Use cranes, hydraulic power, and hand tools to move and set up parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators
  • Maintain tooling and hand tools in working condition
  • Support team members in assembly and manufacturing tasks
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
  • Participate in improvement efforts
