We want the best and are currently seeking a PLT to join our team - based out of Calgary, AB.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Journeyman Power Line Technician Certificate.
  • Proven experience in the powerline distribution construction standards and practices of at least one of the utility organizations in Alberta. NOTE - training on URD installation can be provided if you have no experience in this area of expertise (PLT certification is still required).
  • Excellent interpersonal, team participation, and communication skills
  • Must be able to comfortably perform physical tasks (climbing, lifting 50 pounds, pulling cable etc), and work in all weather conditions.
  • Class 5 drivers license

Responsibilities
  • As a Journeyman Powerline Technician (PLT), you will perform activities related to the construction of shallow utilities in new subdivision developments.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and prints.
  • Recognize, assess, and control potentially hazardous situations in the work environment. Ensure that the work area is kept safe and maintained with good housekeeping practices.
  • Possess knowledge of industry standard safe working practices. Report near misses and investigate incidents.
  • Maintain positive relationships with our clients and field representatives.
