CSEngineering is looking to add a Journeyman Software Systems Architect to our growing team to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command!

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance (TS/SCI and program access eligibility)

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificate (such as Security+ or CCNA Security).
  • Experience with Cloud IL5 and zero trust implementation.
  • 5 + years of experience working on a space-related (space, ground, software, hardware system) Major Defense Acquisition Program.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering
  • Familiar with NIST 800-53.
  • Experience with conducting or supporting space system Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and System Verification Reviews (SVRs)
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to users, leaders, security assessors, and engineers
  • Highly motivated and dynamic work ethic with a strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Ability to create and manage systems-engineering related tasking with minimal program management guidance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams and system owners, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Create and communicate software system architecture documentation to meet feature requirements.
  • Guide the program development from prototype through operational fielding with government program management.
