We are looking for experienced welders that can do metal core flat and horizontal GMAW.
Only candidates living in Leduc, Edmonton or surrounding area will be considered as the applications are very high in this role.
Please indicate what shift you are interested in. Afternoon and Weekend shift must be available to do training on the day shift for 4 - 6 weeks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. Numerical conversions required.
  • Plan the sequence of tasks and decide how to cut the steel most efficiently.
  • Determine the materials required and obtain them from stock.
  • Develop and/or mark patterns if required.
  • Use metal-working machines and cutting torches to cut steel, drill or punch holes, and roll.
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units or sub-units.
  • Fasten components together.
  • Ability to use welding and fabrication tools.
  • Quality assurance and control.
  • Ensures effective equipment maintenance, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Build and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure that the overhead crane is used in a safe manner.

Qualifications

  • Alberta Journeyman Metal Fabricator Fitter Ticket or Red Seal Certification or 3rd year apprentices
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
