Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Alberta Journeyman Welder with 5+ years experience as a Journeyman Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal components
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures by welding components together
- Conduct quality checks to ensure welded parts meet company standards
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues welding & mechanical equipment
- Perform Mig (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-core (FCAW) as outlined by CWB procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading for welding projects
- Experience with overhead crane operation for moving heavy materials
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively
- Ability to weld, build, and assemble metal components accurately
- Familiarity with forklift operation for material handling tasks
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment problems
- Expertise in Mig (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-core (FCAW) welding procedures
- 5+ years experience as Alberta Journeyman Welder/Fabricator
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have a Class 5 Drivers License with clean drivers abstract
