Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Alberta Journeyman Welder with 5+ years experience as a Journeyman Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using appropriate techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
  • Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal components
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures by welding components together
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure welded parts meet company standards
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues welding & mechanical equipment
  • Perform Mig (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-core (FCAW) as outlined by CWB procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading for welding projects
  • Experience with overhead crane operation for moving heavy materials
  • Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively
  • Ability to weld, build, and assemble metal components accurately
  • Familiarity with forklift operation for material handling tasks
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Expertise in Mig (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-core (FCAW) welding procedures
  • 5+ years experience as Alberta Journeyman Welder/Fabricator
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must have a Class 5 Drivers License with clean drivers abstract
