We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stainless Steel TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision welding and metal fabrication, specifically working with stainless steel. You will be responsible for reading technical drawings, fabricating custom components, and performing TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to produce high-quality products that meet industry and company standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a TIG welder/fabricator, preferably with stainless steel.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in layout, fitting, and precision fabrication.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Welding certification (e.g., AWS D17.1, ASME Section IX, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience in sanitary or food-grade stainless steel welding (for industries like food & beverage or pharmaceuticals).
  • Familiarity with other welding processes (e.g., MIG, stick) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components and assemblies.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and products based on technical drawings, blueprints, or verbal instructions.
  • Use hand tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication machinery safely and accurately.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and weld stainless steel sheet, tube, and plate to tight tolerances.
  • Inspect finished work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for optimal results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Perform regular maintenance on tools and welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
