NXL Technologies was formed through the merger of Lee Specialties and Nexus Energy Technologies. NXL specializes in the design, manufacturing, and recertification of pressure control equipment for wireline, coil tubing and snubbing operations in the Oil and Gas Industry.
NXL Technologies has approximately 125,000 sq.ft of state-of-the-art manufacturing space spread out in 3 facilities in Alberta, NXL’s manufacturing capabilities include machining, welding & fabrication, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical assembly, and product verification and validation testing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. They will be responsible for welding and fabrication projects in our manufacturing facility. They will be operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-core arc, and shielded metal arc processes. Experience with the hot wire GTAW welding process would be beneficial. They will be conducting repairs, modifications, and retrofits as well as reviewing blueprints and specifications using their expertise to ensure function in intended design and environment. The candidate will maintain their knowledge of current changes in technology, compliance, and techniques to ensure NXL remains at the forefront of the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyman Welding Ticket.
  • Proven experience as a welder (minimum of 3 years).
  • Proficiency in welding & cutting processes and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
