Position Overview
The Journeyman Mechanic performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping equipment in top operating condition to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards for safety and quality
• Work collaboratively with shop supervisor, dispatch, and corporate operations to minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders
• Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 with Air Brake Endorsement considered an

asset)

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
