OVERVIEW

Fabco is a commercial plumbing and fabrication contractor that specializes in commercial boiler and chiller installations. Fabco is also performs specialty fabrication for mechanical contractors.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and HVAC systems, demonstrating the ability to work independently and collaboratively on various projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber / Gas Fitter or similar role in the plumbing industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and boiler systems.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work towards Class A certification.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Read / Write fluent English.
  • Class A or Class B Gas Ticket.
  • Journeyman Plumber Trade Certificate and registered with Skilled Trades BC.

  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and building codes while performing all tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of hot water heating and steam systems.
