JOB DESCRIPTION

Alberta Box Centre Inc is currently looking to hire a Journeyman Welder for our facility in Wetaskiwin, AB. We are a fabrication shop that primarily builds Grain/Silage boxes, as well as flat decks, repair work, and refinishing existing boxes. REQUIREMENTS

• Must be dependable
• Journeyman Ticket
• Experience within a welding/fabrication environment.
• Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Work both as a member of a team and individually with minimal supervision
• Always maintain safe working conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Wetaskiwin, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:

• Welding: 3 years (preferred)

Expected start date: 2025-07-1

• Need to be able to weld stick and mig
• Maintaining equipment required for the job
• Perform work in a safe manner by themselves and with others
• Assist with other duties as required
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
