```Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team. As a Journeyman Welder, you will be responsible for Fitting and Welding when required. You will work closely with other tradespeople and follow blueprints and schematics to ensure work performed is accurate and built to proper specifications . Must have 10+ years experience in Fitting/Welding and be able to work well unsupervised. Any experience with QC (Quality Control) would be an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brazing and soldering equipment
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.

Skills:
- Proficient in welding / fitting techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Fabrication of Structural Skids Experience an Asset
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
