Martech Electrical Systems Ltd. is accepting applications for Journeyperson & Apprentice Electricians to join our Cranbrook, BC operations. Reporting to the Cranbrook Service Manager, you will be responsible for safely completing approved onsite electrical projects in variety of settings including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial. The successful incumbents will have proven electrical and mechanical skills or come with the desire to work within a team and learn the electrical trade.

The Full-Time positions of Journeyperson & Apprentice Electricians will be responsible for all aspects of assigned project or service work including:

• Adhering to all site-specific safe work practices, procedures, and protocols
• Participating in safety meetings
• Executing various onsite electrical projects as approved by the customer
• Representing the company in a professional manner at all times

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES

• Journeyperson Electrical Certificate OR
• Electrical Apprentice (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year) OR
• Applicants having completed the pre-apprenticeship program or looking to be indentured into the Electrical Apprenticeship Program
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Electrical construction and service experience is considered an asset
• Ability to take direction and follow instructions
• Ability to interpret documents such as drawings and specifications, site specific safe work plans, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to problem solve and perform well under pressure
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
  Martech Electrical Systems Ltd. offers industry leading compensation and benefits. Wages will be based on the experience/qualifications of the individual. Wages follow the IBEW Local#1003 Union Agreement.
