OVERVIEW

We are looking for a licensed Journeyperson Electrician (309A) who is ready to step into a role with greater responsibility and leadership opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Certificate of Qualification – 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)
  • Valid G driver’s licence with a clean abstract
  • Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must work well alone or as part of a team
  • Experience leading teams or projects is an asset, but not required—training and mentorship will be provided

ASSETS (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Valid Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, or other safety certifications
  • Experience in industrial or commercial construction environments
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, or renewable energy systems (e.g., solar, EV chargers)

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
  • Supervise and mentor apprentices and junior team members
  • Troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial environments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems
  • Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and management to complete projects on time
  • Promote a safe and efficient work environment
