CustomAir is adding to our team and we are looking for a Red Seal Journeyperson or Senior Apprentice Electrician (who would be interested in being cross trained into HVACR) in the Sea to Sky Region to join our service team. Working with our clients on service, maintenance, projects and on-call rotation we offer an excellent wage and benefit package.

Must have a valid drivers license, clean drivers abstract and be bondable.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3rd year indentured apprentice or Red seal Inter-Provincial Electrician Journeyman’s ticket
  • Class B FSR certificate-not required but an asset
  • Class A FSR certificate-not required but an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience working knowledge of other related trades
  • Must be comfortable with working at heights
  • Experience working with DDC systems an asset.
  • Knowledge and diagnostic skills on motor controls, PLCS, and AC/DC drives
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian Electric Code
  • Knowledge of high-voltage circuitry and protection devices (If A ticketed)
  • WHMIS certificate and Confined Space Entry an asset (will provide applicable safety training where necessary)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to provide timely and high-quality service
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions while performing labor-intensive duties
  • Work closely with our HVAC technicians and plumbers to service our existing customers and also bring new business into the fold
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $38.00-$44.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Work safely and play an active role in continuing to support a positive safety culture
  • Identify and prioritize electrical maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Installation of new electrical systems
  • Retrofit existing electrical systems
  • Experience with HVAC and building systems an asset
  • Active role in permit process for electrical installations and applicable service work
  • You will ensure that all manufacturer’s guidelines and government regulations regarding electrical maintenance and repair are followed
  • Maintaining records regarding maintenance work performed, materials used, quality, and cost control
  • You will ensure a high standard in all finished work while remaining cost-effective
  • You’ll be responsible for thorough record keeping and the reporting of equipment status including but not limited to work performed
