JOURNEY ELECTRICIAN

The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial/industrial construction and have strong troubleshooting skills, team leadership, and the ability to organize small projects.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Must have Ontario Journey Electricians License, ideally 309A
• Must have experience in a renewable energy environment and/or ICI construction/industrial
• Experience reading blueprints and laying out electrical systems
• Must be computer literate and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to obtain required security clearance when necessary
• Must be physically fit
• Must be a team player, but can work independently
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain a professional demeanor
• Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team
• Must possess tact and diplomacy
• Excellent multi-tasking and work load prioritization abilities
• Outstanding communication skills
• Safety conscious
• Attention to detail

• Ability to install and test new electrical equipment
• Operating Electrical Switchgear, Breakers, MCC’s and related equipment
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical equipment and systems
• Oversee general good housekeeping
• Lead, guide and train apprentices
