This position is based out of our Acheson Location RS/JM Mechanic preferred, exceptional 4th year could be considered Local applicants will be prioritized The Opportunity: The Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic will report directly to the Manager, Maintenance. The primary function of this position is to address mechanical issues and conduct preventative maintenance on all components of Sanjel Energy equipment. Seeking a Journeyperson with a current CVIP license and their own tools. Red Seal required. Exceptional 4th year apprentices could be considered. General Responsibilities: Work alongside a team of mechanics, prioritizing daily tasks to ensure the efficient operation within the facility; fosters a culture of dedicated Safety and teamwork Perform regularly scheduled CVIP inspections, and other assigned fleet maintenance tasks and duties Complete refurbishments and updates to existing Sanjel equipment Gain working knowledge of Sanjel's equipment Check equipment for proper performance Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and diagnose to determine extent of repair required Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment Qualifications: Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate (on road / off road) with Inter-provincial Red Seal Strong 4th year apprentices could be considered Current CVIP License is required, full tool kit preferred Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pumps, electrical skills, mechanical assembly Mechanical training in the oilfield industry (field experience) an asset Unrestricted Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract Thorough safety knowledge and practice Driven and engaging team player who can offer strong problem solving skills Candidates with Military/Canadian Armed Forces experience, are encouraged to apply.
