Job Description
Universe Machine Corporationhas been trusted since 1965 to manufacture, modify and repair metal products for heavy industry, and provides a wide range of specialized products and services in its three divisions located in a modern facility incorporating over 100,000 sq. ft. in Edmonton, Alberta.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RED SEAL MACHINIST (HBM):

• Understanding of standard practices, materials, tools and methods of the Machinist’s trade with an ability to use all types of measuring tools and maintain calibrations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to work with close tolerances
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Be familiar with oilfield, mining, gearboxes and skid fabrications

Required Experience/Education for Red Seal Machinist (HBM): Red Seal Machinist – Horizontal Boring Mill - Journeyperson

• Understand and read English
• Basic Computer

• Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting
