JOIN A TEAM THAT PUTS TECHNICIANS FIRST!

At Western Materials Handling, we know that great technicians are the backbone of our industry. That’s why we offer a safe, supportive work environment, a variety of interesting repair tasks, and the stability of an essential industry.
Western Materials Handling is Alberta’s Leading Material Handling Equipment Supplier, proudly serving customers for over 50 years. As an Alberta-owned and operated company, we are the province’s only authorized dealer for Toyota forklifts, Aichi scissor lifts, Load Lifter rough terrain forklifts, and Kalmar high-capacity lift trucks.

Our Journeyperson Technicians love working here because:

  • They get variety in their work – Every day is different, working on a range of material handling equipment.
  • They are paid hourly, not flat rate – No rushing jobs just to hit a quota.
  • They have access to in-house trainers and manufacturer training – We invest in their skills.
  • They get a company service vehicle and great benefits – Plus tuition coverage for school.
  • They know they’ll be home safe every night – with less physical strain than heavy equipment repair.
  • They work in a small, well-connected industry – People know people, and help is always available.
  • They are in a stable career with room for growth – We have six locations across Alberta with opportunities to advance.
