We are currently looking for Journeyperson Power System Electrician’s (PSE) in the Calgary and Edmonton areas.

SUMMARY

The Journeyperson Power System Electrician (PSE) fosters an environment of construction execution excellence. As well as building a culture of providing solutions, not problems. S/he will assist the Construction Supervisor with the organization of the day-to-day activities on the job site. The PSE will ensure that activities are being completed safely and efficiently all while upholding a strong dedication to quality. They will be knowledgeable in all areas of electrical maintenance and construction. The PSE works closely with the Construction Operations Supervisor’s to ensure that projects are profitable and delivered on time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyperson Power System Electrician Certification
  • Safety tickets (i.e. CSTS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Fall Arrest and Aerial Platform)
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
  • Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Install, alter, repair and maintain various electrical systems and related equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and to ensure compliance with code.
  • Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
  • QA/QC documentation.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Identify components and mount nameplates and other identification tools according to wiring diagrams.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Comply with standards and procedures of the Iconic Power Systems Health & Safety Manual and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
