MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
Going towards Bachelor’/master’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting.
Ability to establish goals and objectives, organize activities and projects, implement appropriate systems, work independently, and demonstrate good judgment.
Competency with computer equipment and software and other electronic devices to perform work effectively and efficiently. Knowledge of Quick-books, Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software.
Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
Skilled in Excel.
Skilled in maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Payroll: works closely with organization employees to collect relevant documents I-9, W4, benefits paperwork, etc. Paperwork that guarantees paychecks are issued promptly.
Processing Payroll: The duty is to process payrolls for all employees. This includes calculating hours worked, deductions, overtime, and reimbursements weekly. Confidentiality: Payroll specialists handle sensitive personal and financial data, so they must be trustworthy and maintain high standards of confidentiality.
Time Management Skills: Payroll tasks are often time-sensitive, with strict deadlines for when employees must be paid.
