THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Junior Actuarial Analyst to join our team, reporting directly to the VP, Actuarial. This role will support key actuarial tasks aimed at improving efficiency and accelerating project delivery. The primary focus will be on reserving and data analytics, with opportunities to contribute to other actuarial areas such as pricing, capital modeling, and reinsurance.
This position offers exposure to a variety of actuarial initiatives, providing exceptional learning opportunities and a strong foundation for future career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Active participation in the reserving process under the supervision of VP Actuary: data manipulation and preparation, data ingestion of reserving specialized software, reserve analysis, reserve documentation preparation, reserving outputs.
  • Supporting on building and updating automated Actuarial Review/Evaluation of programs, products and Lines of business.
  • Data preparation to support several key actions: data lake, Appointed Actuarial Report, Financial Condition Testing, Reinsurance, etc
  • Support in preparing key metrics for management reports including key performance and key risk indicators.
  • Participation in updating rates and raters, including implementation of them in the system (including participating in testing phases).
