Overview:
Contec Cleanroom is looking for an Jr. Area Sales Representative at the start of their sales career to strengthen our sales team for Germany. A minimum 1-3 years sales experience is requested.

Contec Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of cleaning products like wipes, disinfectants and mops for the Cleanroom industry. We serve contamination control needs of end-users through our strategical Distributor network. End users work in scientific and critical production environments like:

  • Life Sciences.
  • Microelectronics and Semiconductor.
  • Academia and hospital pharmacies.
  • Optics & aerospace.
  • Industrial Cleanrooms.

Contec develops, manufactures and sells products to clean and disinfect high grade cleanroom environments with innovative solutions and a focus on adding value to the process and industry.
We are looking for a person with a passion for sales, who is customer centric and who has some technical knowledge. A large proportion of our key products are supplied to highly regulated manufacturing environments. Therefore, the right candidate must possess the ability to read and understand regulatory and procedural documents and explain this information in the sales process.
The Jr. Area Sales Representative will be responsible for sales into the northern region of Germany. This region has been steadily growing and Contec sees potential for a dedicated Area Sales Representative as the remaining potential is still large particularly in the Life Sciences industry.
With a strong focus on end users, you will need to be able to build strong relationships and possess excellent presentation skills to drive projects. At the same time, you will need to support distributor partners to ensure the best solution for the product user.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales representations.
  • Distributor support; technical information, samples and literature.
  • Training of distributor’s sales force and new sales staff.
  • Analysis of large end-users in region and work on approach plan.
  • End-user sales calls to vary but should average 3 days per week.
  • Training of end-users.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of territory at both the end user and distributor level
  • Activity report via CRM system.
  • Attend scheduled sales meetings.
  • Interface with other sales reps and manufacturing reps.
  • Written and oral follow-up, including quotes.
  • Conduct product training for clients
  • Determine/request/monitor appropriate (custom) samples for end users.
  • Monitor and attend to customers’ needs by working with various internal departments including but not limited to Customer Service, Quality, Accounting, Manufacturing, Research and Development, etc.

Competencies:

  • Experience with B2B sales.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Performs duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.
  • Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Able to demonstrate support and adherence to Contec’s core values.

Requirements:
1-3 years experience in dealing with B2B clients. Knowledge of the Cleanroom industry or related is preferable, but no demand. Ability to directly approach, conduct demonstrations and train End Users. Together with the Technical team, perform in depth analysis of customers’ needs to recommend best solution of products/systems.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing in German as well as English.
