OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy, and service-oriented individual to support a statewide initiative to modernize jail data collection. This position blends business analysis and IT coordination—ideal for someone who enjoys both project-based work and solving everyday technology challenges in a small but impactful government agency.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or IT support.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable leading interviews, taking notes, and working independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel within Tennessee.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Basic understanding of MySQL databases (novice level).
  • Project management experience (novice to intermediate).
  • Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar tools.

  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders from 123 county jails, workhouses, lockups, and multiple state agencies to identify needs, pain points, and requirements.
  • Document needs, risks, and recommendations for a cloud-based clearinghouse.
  • Support steering committee facilitation and maintain project timelines.
  • Assist with vendor research and prepare technology feasibility summaries.
  • Draft reports and summaries for leadership review.
