DESCRIPTION

CBG Surveying knows there is a shortage of AutoCAD and drafting professionals. That is why we are doing something that no other company in DFW is doing in our industry. We are offering a twelve (12) week, 9 am to 3 pm M - F on-the-job training class that will teach you a life skill and hopefully land you a full-time job in the drafting profession.   • High School Diploma or GED (Two years college or equivalent work experience preferred)
  • Positive attitude, Attention to details and Motivated
  • Good oral and written communication skills a plus

Responsibilities
  • Understand and use company-established standards for drafting assignments.
  • Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and inked tracings.
  • Compare survey computations with applicable standards to determine the adequacy of data. Responsible for office calculations from construction plans for field layout and preparation of cut sheets and point lists.
  • Collect information needed to carry out new surveys using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records, and other relevant information.
  • Operate and manage land information computer systems, performing tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports.
  • Responsible for the correctness of the survey that meets CBG standards.
