Create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations. Assist in the launch of new programs & projects to automate in any possible area that can benefit from it.
· Design, Development, & Commissioning of Automated Systems
· Ability to draw electrical or mechanical schematics to demonstrate how automated processes work
· Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages
· Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation.
· Testing automated systems for safety, efficiency, and reliability.
· Troubleshooting system errors.
· Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs.
· Documenting development processes.
· Providing plants with technical support
· Assist with ensuring the automation process is functional and efficiently designed
· Per the IATF16949 requirements, assist with ensuring that the production floor is equipped with proper functioning automation processes and other program designs.
· Participate in the review of processes to continue with improving overall efficiencies.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to travel when required.
· Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
· At least 3 year’s experience as a PLC programmer
· 2+ years working in robotics/automation process
· Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD software.
· Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages. Must be meeting standards of current position.
· Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel internationally
· Strong technical background and a clear understanding of a manufacturing process
· Fluent in English (verbal, reading, writing)
· Experience using a computer
