This role is hybrid onsite in Irvine, CA. We are unable to provide relocation assistance at this time.* Join the dynamic Habit Burger team, part of Yum! As a Jr Data Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on role in developing and maintaining data systems that support our mobile app, website, restaurant operations, and integrations with third-party delivery services like DoorDash, Grubhub, and UberEats. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects. Participate in report development and system integrations. Conduct database testing and debugging. Engage in code reviews and documentation of database architecture and processes. Implement and maintain database security protocols. Ensure data integrity, security, and quality. Monitor and optimize database performance. Manage multiple tasks including high-priority requests and ongoing projects. Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Design, develop, and manage scalable and reliable data pipelines. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of experience in database design, development, and maintenance. Proficiency in MSSQL (T-SQL, Stored Procedures) or equivalent. Working knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server). Familiarity with data modeling, normalization, and database design principles. Understanding of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Prior exposure to ETL processes and tools (experience with any ETL tool is a plus). Comfortable working in IDEs such as Visual Studio and Snowflake. Experience with data visualization tools (DOMO preferred; Power BI and Tableau desirable). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS Programming experience in Python Awareness of data privacy laws and compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
