Description Junior estimators perform various functions in providing quality support to the senior or lead estimator, sales team, and project managers during the project bidding process. If chosen, you will be required to promote Beier Integrated Systems in a positive image and work to grow the company’s market share. You may also have to facilitate resolution of issues that arise between Beier Integrated Systems and its customers. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to- Follow directions of the Senior Estimator and Project Manager Produce quotes/proposals and cost analysis documents... Supported by project design specifics Supported by cost and availability form for Vendors/Manufacturer Including terms and conditions of the sale per individual project Carefully review and examine project specifications/drawings Collect/gather cost and availability data from vendors/manufacturers Produce accurate cost information required for projects. Plan and organize estimating work assignments, as well as other tasks that may be required by managers Produce and maintain weekly quote progress log to reflect the following: current week’s delivered quotes current week’s quotes in progress status lost/won Bids during present week. Maintaining up to date the quote folders Following up with sales team requesting feedback on active quotes Support project manager on change orders as needed. Junior Estimators should have the following qualifications- Detail-oriented in order to successfully review information and complete projects. ** An affinity for mathematics is a plus. Good verbal and oral communication and interpersonal skills Required to possess excellent customer service skills and also liaise efficiently with clients, team members, and management Adequate familiarity with electronic equipment used in the Marine Industry and proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft Office & Quickbooks) The ability to follow directives while meeting pre-set deadlines for producing bids and reports Competent at gathering, organizing and reporting data that is relevant to the assigned project Well-developed organizational and self-management skills Ability to maintain his or her composure in order to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines A Bachelor’s degree in Business Field; in lieu of a degree, applicable experience will be considered. Comfortable working extended hours in an office, including overtime when necessary

Responsibilities

Junior estimators support senior estimators, sales teams, and project managers by producing quotes, cost analysis documents, and gathering necessary cost and availability data from vendors. They are also responsible for maintaining quote logs and supporting project managers with change orders as needed.
