Quality Welding and Fabrication is a family-owned structural welding and fabrication company with over 20 years of experience serving commercial, industrial, and government clients. As an AISC Certified Fabricator, we deliver high-quality work, innovative solutions, and on-time performance. We are expanding our team and seeking a motivated Junior Estimator with a strong interest in government contracts and fabrication estimating.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the production floor.
• Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
• Some light lifting (up to 20 lbs.) may be required.

• Review government solicitations, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and compliance requirements.
• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontractors, and freight.
• Learn and apply federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS) and defense standards (MIL-STD-2073, MIL-STD-129).
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
• Assist in drafting compliant bid responses for government projects.
• Maintain organized records of historical bids, pricing data, and awarded contracts.
• Collaborate with project management and quality teams to align estimates with production capabilities.
• Participate in training to broaden knowledge in both government and commercial estimating.
