Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assists in the execution of all foreign exchange products into OPICS. Including Spot, Forwards, Swaps, OTC Options and NDFs, Time deposits and Loans. * Compile, evaluate and analyze historical data necessary to determine desk profitability. Present information to FX managers. * Creates and maintains daily reports utilizing quantitative analysis software for forecasts and strategic business decisions. * Assists Senior FX traders quoting all FX products in live FX markets. * Create/prepare and present PowerPoint/ Excel for FX presentation for assigned initiatives such as continued education in foreign exchange for peers at VNB. * Compile maintain and analyze information regarding profit, loss and income/expenses to budget. * Responsible for auditing executed deals in front end system, verifies accuracy of deals using trade blotters, email correspondence, Bloomberg and OPICS system information. Handles discrepancies critical to trades in timely manner. * Utilizes all electronic FX trading systems, including Bloomberg FX Go and several FX trading portals. * Accuracy and monitoring all daily end of day FX reports, including Pnl, overnight orders and desk positions. * Responsible for maintaining completed FX documentation for all street side counterparties, including signed CSAs/ISDAs etc. * Provide timely reports summarizing results and analyze data to evaluate the impact and benefit of bank initiatives and strategies. * Close interaction and communication with FX Operations teams assisting with the accuracy of all FX deals. Qualifications Required Skills: * Ability to multitask and price fast moving FX markets. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Ability to create tables, charts and macros. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of economic and financial markets. * Ability to prioritize and organize assignments. * Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. * Ability to meet strict deadlines and complete projects effectively with little supervision. Required Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in Finance from four-year college or university and a minimum of 1 year experience in financial analysis or the successful completion of a Valley internship in accounting/finance.
