OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Graphic Designer to join the Aerie team as our primary (contract) print production designer. This role goes beyond traditional production responsibilities, serving as a key liaison between the creative team and production managers to ensure accuracy, alignment, and seamless delivery of seasonal and ad hoc initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Has the ability to create print ready dielines for production.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC: Adobe XD, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Copywriting and creative writing proficiency is a considerable plus.
  • Strong knowledge in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production, and publishing across editorial formats and platforms.
  • Strong design sense with the ability to conceptualize and execute visually dynamic solutions.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a constant drive to improve your craft.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet all deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, while remaining accountable and delivering on deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in graphic and print design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent visual design experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic and print design.
  • Ability to hit deadlines and lead projects from concept to execution.
  • Photography/videography editing experience is a plus!
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a stellar portfolio!

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and finalize production files for seasonal brand releases (Spring, Summer, Back-to-School, Winter, and more).
  • Manage a variety of miscellaneous design projects, including flagship needs, in-house lab print requests, and updates to existing campaigns.
  • Maintain and update visual floorset and flagship documentation per season, ensuring alignment with business strategy, visual leadership input, and legal guidelines.
  • Execute creative adjustments and refinements based on team feedback and brand direction.
  • Collaborate closely with both the Aerie and Offline brand design teams (a small and agile team of 4) to provide creative support and help manage project overflow when needed.
  • Actively contribute to improving internal workflow processes and apply project management strategies inspired by past experience with brands like DSG/GIP.
  • Serve as a strategic connector between management and design, driving organization, deadline accountability, and design integrity across the team.
