Description The Jr. Material Handler/Driver will support the Operations Coordinator & Receiving Clerk/Driver in daily operations related to receiving, organizing, transporting, and maintaining raw materials, supplies, and scrap between facilities. This role ensures accuracy in material handling, maintains warehouse organization, and assists in general plant logistics to keep production running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Materials Handling & Receiving Process and prepare parts to ship to outside process vendors. Assist with receiving all incoming materials (parts, raw materials, supplies, packages). Move received items to the correct floor location, department, or individual. Support FIFO (First-In, First-Out) organization of raw materials & finished goods, including moving older stock to racks. Help maintain incoming inspection reports (filing and entering in system). Support receiving and verification of customer returns; assist with bonded sheets and QC notifications. Assist in tagging and re-tagging material skids (including reweighing if needed). Maintain warehouse logs and assist with ERP entries. Driving & Material Movement Assist with scheduled and unscheduled trips between Plant 1, Plant 2, warehouse, and outside vendors/suppliers. Support movement of scrap between facilities, including loading for scrap sales. Assist in loading containers for international shipments. General Plant Support Assist with checking and replenishing oil/chemical levels. Collect and dispose of barrels, skids, and drums between Plant 1 and Plant 2. Help maintain scrap barrels, skids, and oil containers for return or processing. Assist shipping team during peak periods or staffing shortages. Participate in quarterly inventory activities. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Forklift certification (or willingness to be trained). Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. Ability to lift push or pull 50+ lbs. and operate material-handling equipment. Basic computer skills (data entry, filing, logging). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Working Conditions Primarily warehouse and plant environment. Frequent lifting, moving, and loading/unloading of materials. Driving between facilities and local vendors. Safety gear (PPE) required.
