Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Make your mark where it matters most. WSP is looking for a talented Junior Mechanical Designer to help us engineer the future of mining infrastructure. From transforming underground mine backfill systems to optimizing tailings disposal and ore handling, you’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team that’s as passionate about progress as it is about precision.
This isn’t just drafting behind a desk — it’s hands-on collaboration, bold problem-solving, and the chance to make a real impact in the local and global mining markets.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO WSP:

We’re looking for someone curious, collaborative, and eager to grow:

  • A College Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering Design
  • 0–5 years’ industry experience (mining exposure is a plus!)
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to take on field work
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant3D, with bonus points for skills in SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, AutoPLANT, Civil3D, and Microsoft Office
  • Top-notch organizational and time management abilities
  • Clear and confident communication in English — written and verbal
  • A mindset aligned with WSP’s safety-first culture and core values
