Our client, one of Canada’s top employers and leaders has an immediate opening for a Jr. Mechanical Technician/ Technologist to join their operations team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for assisting journeyman with minor repair of mechanical equipment or components that support production and facility operations as well as helping admin side of maintenance and will include basic design activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical Technologist/ Technician
  • Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic equipment
  • Knowledge with basic tools, attention to detail, and good time management.
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge and capable of using AutoCAD is a MUST
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the maintenance, repair, and installation of electromechanical systems, including electrical and mechanical equipment. This includes tasks like troubleshooting, performing routine tests, and adhering to safety protocols under the guidance of senior technicians.

· Reading blueprints and schematics of the equipment.

  • Follow detailed technical instructions and procedures provided by senior technicians.
  • Assist in creating detailed drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD, for various projects.
  • Document maintenance activities, service records, and any system modifications, and report findings to senior technicians.
  • Maintaining spare parts room/ tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are properly maintained and stored.
  • Organizing spare parts areas, assists in inventory management and keep record on computer system and followed by data entry
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures is crucial for the role.
