    Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Jr. Sous Chef specializing in Arabic cuisine to join our culinary team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Jr. Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating authentic Arabic dishes and supporting the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.

  • Assist in menu planning and development, focusing on traditional and contemporary Arabic cuisine
  • Prepare and present high-quality Arabic dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations and maintain efficiency
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in Arabic culinary techniques and food preparation
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • Contribute to the creation of new recipes and innovative Arabic-inspired dishes
  • Participate in quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on Arabic cuisine
  • Extensive knowledge of Arabic culinary traditions, techniques, and Middle Eastern flavors
  • Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • In-depth understanding of kitchen operations and inventory management
  • Current food safety certification
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations
  • Creativity and passion for innovating within Arabic cuisine
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Legal authorization to work in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
