Restaurant: Destiny Coast Location: La Jolla California Reports to: Sous Chef and Chef De Cuisine Schedule: Weekend Brunch & Weekday Lunch focused   About the Role   We’re looking for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to support our kitchen leadership team in a fast-paced, high-volume brunch and lunch environment. This is a hands-on role for someone ready to step into leadership while remaining active on the line. ---------------------------------------- What You’ll Do * Cook, finish, and plate dishes during service * Expedite and assist with expo to ensure quality and timing * Support daily kitchen operations and service flow * Assist with ordering, inventory, and receiving * Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety * Help train and support kitchen staff * Uphold kitchen systems, standards, and consistency ---------------------------------------- What We’re Looking For * Experience in a brunch and lunch setting is required * Strong line cooking skills and ability to handle multiple stations * Comfortable expediting and finishing plates during service * Organized, clean, and detail-oriented * Reliable team player with leadership potential ---------------------------------------- Nice to Have * Baking experience (pastries, breads, brunch baking) * Prior lead line cook or junior sous experience
